Pros

Lot's of different roles to be apart of with a flexible work from home unless traveling.

Cons

Massive layoffs due to poor company choices. Employees are made to feel as they are only a dollar amount and not valued.

Pros

Nice co-workers are fine, but not much else

Cons

When I started at Eyecare Partners I was hired as a remote employee which helped me manage family. Out of the blue comes an email in May that we have to return to the office in June. Huh? What? I live more than 25 miles from the office and will have a 90 minute round trip commute. Now I’m trying to figure out what to do and it is all very stressful. I already work well beyond a 40-hour week and doing extra on weekends in an attempt to try to keep up with all the demands. I have done my best as we try to fill in the gaps for repeated layoffs, people leaving frequently, and constant changes in management while wading through all our system problems. I’m trying to do the work of two people and we already have so many problems due to the turnover. The culture is just plain bad and my only refuse was that I had a flexible job and didn’t have to daily face the culture in person. I just don’t get it. We have so many problems and we handle people so poorly. Why do we want to take the one benefit away that keeps most of us here? People in my field have commonly worked remotely for 20 years and my job primarily requires me to concentrate on tasks. Now I have to figure out how to handle all the extra work on my plate, my family and a long commute. Makes no sense for my position. Makes my life very hard as I try to figure out how to handle my family on very short notice. Does anyone care?

Needs improvement

Pros

High paced growth, good coworkers

Cons

The culture needs attention. If you are a woman who speaks up about improvements you may be fired. If you are a man who speaks up you will get into the inner circle. The CEO is an awful leader and clueless about how to improve the culture.
