Pros
Corporate backing gives us more access to better resources like updating our technician equipment, a large IT department, better salary and compensation benefits than private practices can offer.
Cons
So many cons. They are growing way faster than they are equipped to, gobbling up new practices before they have even fully integrated other practices that have been purchased. They're inefficient in everything they do. Equipment breaks and you need it replaced? You're waiting at least 4-5 months if not longer for repair/replacement. Have a role that needs to be filled? Hiring and recruiting, though one of the faster systems at ECP, still can take months to get interviews scheduled and often the job descriptions don't match the need. Is your clinic growing with need to add a new role/position? Good luck. Either they make you wait until budget season to consider the addition or you propose a business plan. Either process, you will be waiting many many months. ECP seems to have absolutely no trust for clinic level leadership because they insist that approvals for absolutely everything go through about 20 channels at corporate before any answer is given, IF you get an answer at all. The list of inneficiencies goes on and on. There is a massive disconnect between the corporate and the clinic levels. They put immense pressure on clinic level leadership without empowering them to make decisions.
