Travel is back and FCM is growing like crazy

Pros

People, culture, travel and professional growth opportunities, lots of experienced individuals to learn from, industry recognition as a top corporate travel provider. Good place to land and grow, even without a track record.

Cons

Company is in the process of maturing from being regionally-driven into truly global, so there are growing pains and operations challenges today as the industry continues to recover from the pandemic.

Pros

- I have worked for almost ten years at FCM and can say it was like entering a family. - Successes are celebrated, access to leadership is great, opinions are valued, and in sales capacities you partner often with global colleagues and get to travel to some great places. - FCM's technology and services are really best-in-class in the industry and it's a great product to sell. - It is an inviting place and you can move up quickly in the organization. - The base salary + incentive model can be very lucrative, especially in sales. - Retention efforts have included global share rights and kept employees really engaged in growth

Cons

- There is quite a lot of segmentation in the business with different brands and different goals, which can create a lot of lanes for growth but the leadership structure can be confusing for new hires. - Base salaries may feel less competitive but it is because the incentive model is high. It's a sales culture-- remuneration is tied to success and heavily compensated, but that isn't for everyone. - Need more investment in leadership training, mentor programs, and education for staff who want to grow

- colleagues are all awesome - lots of mobility and growth - good pay + benefits - fun work place culture - I personally love the job I do - my boundaries around time off and leaving on time are well-respected - my team leader is kind, inclusive and welcoming - we are encouraged to grow as individuals and within the company, huge focus on brightness of future - upper leadership cares about you and will make time to meet about important things that come up - great support overall which helps balance the stressful moments of any job
