We are invested in continuous learning and development for all staff providing various training opportunities with input from management and leadership. Additionally, we have established a thorough and efficient onboarding process for new employees, along with Business Partner support for management, that allow them to get acclimated to their roles and help them become contributing members to the organization.

Pros

Great benefits. Great people. Good learning environment. Culture between departments and employees has improved significantly.

Cons

Management at higher levels fail to understand and react to challenges within the company at lower levels. There is a huge disconnect in communication as well. On top of that, feedback and survey programs rarely lead to change.

Thank you for your comments, as we continuously evaluate our Total Rewards and have been intentionally focused on learning and growth and the culture of our organization. We appreciate your feedback as we look to continue those things that we do well and improve in areas where there's opportunity. We continue to leverage our HR Suggestion Box; those submissions are reviewed and discussed on a weekly basis to help us continue to focus on ways to improve across the organization. In addition, feedback gathered from other channels such as stay interviews, focus groups, and ERGs, for example, is also discussed by HR and ODEI with management, resulting in related recommendations and action plans. An FHLBank Indianapolis employee would be happy to speak with you regarding any concerns or challenges you have. Please contact your manager, your HR Business Partner or another trusted leader in the organization to discuss how we can assist.

Pros

CoWorkers and friendliness of all

Cons

Senior management & the politics. There is no accountability from senior management. Work life balance is awful which explains the high turnover in the PMO which is not due to internal promotions and leadership only verbally acknowledges when you voice concerns but doesn’t actually do anything. Words only, no actions or real support

Thank you for your comments. We appreciate your feedback as we look to continue those things that we do well and improve in areas where there's opportunity. Following the pandemic, our bank has gone to a Hybrid Workforce Model which allows employees to work up to three days remote each week, which has been very well received as it allows better work/life balance for our employees. We also continue to leverage our HR Suggestion Box; those submissions are reviewed and discussed on a weekly basis to help us continue to focus on ways to improve across the organization.
