Pros

Some very good clients, Decent level of software products Flexibility Lots of travelling to client sites, although much of it in your own unpaid time Some good and smart colleagues who are friendly and helpful Exposure to various industries as you get to work on different projects

Cons

Role heavily time and revenue based and run on a very strict quarterly basis. Very frequent redundancies including high experienced resources. Poor no work / life balance, most often expected to work more than contracted hours Poor senior management who do not understand technology and project deliverable and therefore provide no support. Very Political and promotions are based on nepotism. Uncompetitive pay Resources are woefully overstretched and overworked working on unrealistic deadlines and travel schedule High labour turnover every quarter. Limited career development opportunities, no training or time to learn

Pros

Good salary, sometimes good bonus.

Cons

1. Vaporware. Every new great thing FICO comes up with is either half-baked, or not baked at all. Development occurs at the cost and time of the customer. The people responsible for delivery get stuck making a shell of a product into something that actually functions. 2. Standard processes on new products are assembled on-the-fly, and employess are held accountable for not following these processes that do not exist. 3. No life-work balance. Plenty of vacation, but you have to go out of country to really be offline. Hours can be very difficult to sustain. 4. Lots of training but very little of it applies to the practical reality of doing your job.

Pros

agile, ok-ish salary, some of the leaders

Cons

some of the leaders; work-life balance; external trainings only in homeopathic doses; home office mostly not allowed, but you are ordered to work on weekends; products are often not up to date => over hours, over hours due to administrative burden

Pros

Share scheme, some good people but no time or structure to learn with or from people. Reliable pay

Cons

Too much reliance on teams in one place, which does not work when big issue, or customer impacts Managers seem to know products as they not changed... But are too busy on calls and not able to share and detail, upskill teams. Documentation on product and customer setup is very basic, and documents and lessons learnt not fed back into a starting point. Seems too many teams so lots of pushing things around as people not sure how to tell which team are supposed to know where to go. Forcing some teams back to the office makes no sense, and will mean they worse off.
