      In a downward spiral

      Pros

      It's a good starter platform for people fresh out of college. A few departments are flexible.

      Cons

      The work environment at FIS has been in a nose dive over the last year or two. We've been turning record profits, yet executive-level management has been beating employees down and treating us terribly. Many programmers have started leaving the company for fair pay, often getting offers 20K greater than what they make at FIS. Not to mention the amount of security placed on our outdated machines slows the actual work to a crawl.

      Pros

      The company is growing. There are various locations. If you need to work in the evening or want to work third shift they have departments that are open 24x7.

      Cons

      Some the departments are extremely unorganized. It's important to ask specific questions about job growth within the department and training. FIS is growing, but unfortunately they don't offer the best benefits. While I realize that having benefits are important having to pay 5K for a family or 3K for an individual deductible is extremely high. There are departments that promote backstabbing unfortunately and they promote chaos in the department.

      Pros

      They pay on time and have direct deposit.

      Cons

      There is zero recognition for good work, so don't knock yourself out. The managers are just ridiculous and have zero idea of what their employees do. I truly wonder how many of them managed to get hired. This is a technology company and several managers and employees have zero technical background. It's mind boggling, but it is what it is.
