Terrible Tech Support

Business Outlook

Pros

Global company that is financially stable

Cons

Very large and impersonal, disconnected, Terrible employee tech support, hours on hold to solve simple access issues. Tech support is from India and sometime extremely hard to understand what tech support person is saying. Networks drop offline. Online support drops connections. Support pages are not found or no longer exist. ONE FRUSTRATING COMPANY TO TRY TO ACTUALLY GET WORK DONE.

Pros

The people who you directly work with. That is the few that are still around really do care for the quality of their work as well as doing what’s right for our client base.

Cons

- lately, it seems like in order to address problems, the company just does a re-organization. This level of constant change causes a lot of angst within the day to day which ultimately leads to reduced productivity. I had a colleague who recently said “I have had 4 direct managers in less than two months” - to many #1 priorities that are constantly over budget - we preach “decentralized decision making” but that really is code for “command and control” - people are constantly wearing 4-5 hats on any given basis. This is getting old and people (good people) are getting burnt out. This existed pre-coronavirus so cannot use the pandemic as an excuse.

Though we are disappointed to hear about your experience thus far, we appreciate you taking the time to leave your feedback. As you mention, FIS has continued to grow and develop though a mix of organic growth and acquisitions at a fast pace and re-organization and realignment of work is sometimes required.
