Pros

My supervisor, the 3 people left from my training class.

Cons

Mandatory overtime every single day because they cant keep enough people around to make the workload more reasonable. They will lie straight to your face about this in the interview. Don't believe the words "occasional overtime or overtime as needed". Its every single day. Also to give you an idea of what kind of company this is...my friend asked if they could switch departments and the next thing you know she is in a meeting with her supervisor AND HR telling her that she will have to stay in the department or resign right there. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!? Ive never heard of that happening anywhere EVER. A simple "No" would suffice. Don't work here.

Pros

Work life balance, I guess?

Cons

Working at FIS feels like wading through mud to get anything done. Everything requires a Service Now ticket and at least a day wait, assuming you submitted the right ticket with the right information. It feels like organization changes happen quarterly. The pay is subpar. Security overrides absolutely everything in the company so anything you try to do is blocked, to the detriment of getting anything done. So many times we have had an issue or a release blocked by either some new security requirement or policy change that was communicated in some random place where no one saw it, and then management is curious why things aren't getting done. I'm done here.

Pros

It’s a large company with lots of opportunities to move around Easy to work from home

Cons

The pay and benefits were seriously lacking. I was part of a company that FIS took over so my base of comparison may not be entirely fair since my previous company (T Rowe Price) had exceptionally good benefits. After my first year at FIS, I was informed that there was a freeze on raises and bonuses. I lost many thousands in healthcare and retirement benefits and my work load was out of control. I don’t believe that my experience was true for everyone but it wasn’t the exception either. After decades of service, I felt no other option other than to leave.
