Pretty much cold calling & harassing people for monetary donations for a political party. Most of the people called are elderly on fixed incomes, or people irate with the current administration and take your call as an opportunity to word vomit hateful rants as if you as a fundraising telemarketer have any pull to make the changes they wish to see.

I have a lot of cons -I have anxiety extremely bad so the fact that I was getting yelled at and cursed at every day put a strain on my mental health. That was the only constant at this job. After you hit out of training you get paid good but that won’t be for long because they write you up for literally anything. In the interview process they tell you the script sells itself and if you follow it you will sell just for them later on to say “never mind that script is trash pitch in 30 seconds and add flavor to your calls.” “Don’t sound like a telemarketer” when you are a telemarketer. They contradict themselves way too much. I got called racial slurs on the phone and I literally had to clock out to regain myself but all they cared about was that I didn’t send them an email telling them where I was. They’ll send messages in the middle of your calls and mess up your groove. I could go on and on to be honest but you get my drift. If you are considering this job, just don’t. It’s a waste of your time and your integrity.
