Pros
The pay is good and there are a lot of experienced professionals. There are normally opportunities to travel around the world and meet many different people. Many coworkers are also from around the world and adds to a rich cultural environment.
Cons
Benefits could be better priced. Retirement is a very standard 401k. Since FLSmidth has merged with many different companies there isn't a single effective document/data management system but many different ineffective systems. Some teams work very well together and make work enjoyable and rewarding but there are also many other teams that just collect pay checks and go home. Also many teams are short staffed and make it so that people are reactively solving problems instead of proactively solving them.
