Good work Life balance, very knowledgeable coworkers

Cons

Low Salaries compared to average local, and extremely low nationally average. Nepotism is very rampant in this location. Most qualified individuals do not get promoted.

Pros

Great people, industry leader, reasonably good health benefits. The company environment was good, certainly it was not so good during the 2008-2010 recession, but otherwise was a good place to work until new management decisions started in 2014 under the guidance of the new CEO.

Cons

Poor compensation, lacking retirement package, too much control from Denmark, stellar employees are punished for bad company investments and legacy costs. Layoffs and restructuring were not handled well in 2009 and again in 2011.

Pros

FLSmidth is a good company and within my team the environment is quite good and open. Plus it is a worldwide company with good benefits and extra support for the employees. I feel very supported by my senior colleagues and there are here some very good professionals and people in here. hard to find. Very good life-work balance.

Cons

Change is not something you will see happening that often and the organizational structures can be to reluctant and senior to expect new ideas and changes. It takes some time. Also you will realize that you cannot speak as freely as you'd wish but that is also part of the Danish workplace culture and environment. Salaries are not as good as they should be and the current company's financial situation may also make hard you to expect any raise.
