If anyone thinks FM Global is a good place to work they are either in denial or just naïve. People stay here because of the benefits. Period. The salaries are too low, management does a poor job of communicating change, promotions and hiring are based on family or friends and not on actual qualifications or work. Promotions are based more on time in the position, rather than the work produced. If someone is doing the work of a senior person, they should be promoted no matter how long they have been in the position. I also find it very difficult to find another opportunity in the company even willing to relocate. In a company this large, they should consider internal candidates more often when filling open positions.

This was by far worst environment I have ever worked in. The managers don't know your job and just dictate the workload while micromanaging you. Everyone is a cousin a friend an aunt a neighbor and if you aren't related you will get treated worse than a red headed step child. Managers walk around belittling their employees while spreading rumors with their employees aka their "family members" and create an extremely hostile work environment. People don't look each other in the eye and act like this is HIgh school although the average age is close to retirement. Managers create pets and allow them to get by while doing minimal while others have to carry the weight only to get screamed at. One manager in particular stated they " would make their employee cry again" and laughed while saying it. Zero morale and culture is to lie and defame characters. do yourself a favor and STAY AWAY
