Not much room for advancement even if your aengineer. Once u get out of the field, and become account engineer, you hit a ceiling. Company also only pays a very small amount for additional education. Overall annual compensation and benefits are very very low compared to industry!! The long timers are the people who were usually the B and C students in school and accepted mediocrity. Company is all about seniority rather than performance.

Lower base pay than comparable positions with other companies and raises are small. Hard to get promotions. They tend to hire family members of employees and do favors for friends rather than hire or promote a more qualified candidate. Very political. Some departments are almost entirely compromised of one sex and seem to be against hiring the other. Long time employees tend to get preferential treatment even if not deserved.
