Poorly run, disorganized company...run while you can!

Pros

Very nice people...the only good thing here.

Cons

This is the most disorganized company I have ever worked for. Management is slow to make decisions and appears to not care for the well being of their employees. For example, the company recently changed it's benefits plan to a high-deductible health plan before considering the impact on the workforce (which has a huge group of shop employees who cannot afford this). There are constant payroll errors and the payroll department is slow to respond to correcting the issues. The bonus program and base salaries are not competitve, and many bonuses were paid incorrectly. Communication within the company is also very poor.

Pros

Quality of work is good for those who are in direct association with FMC Norway/Houston.

Cons

Major chunk of work is back end and low level. Poor HR policies and India office organization One man show. Partiality Technical know-how and abilities is ignored and only communication is focused. Undue favors to girls from top management (the one) No reasoning or logic for people movement on hierarchy ladder . Incapable managers and team leads with zero base level knowledge Salary too low with industry standards Salary increment/hike is low . Opportunity is given only to who are in 'favorite' list of him. All that the company is worried is efficiency and work flow rather than quality of work and organisation structure. No reflection of corporate HSE, Quality or ethics in anything that is done at this office. P.S: All above points are equally important and are not ordered in any preference.

OK to Earn a So-So Salary

Pros

Really do not like let people go (good or bad?). And, yes, "let go" mean "fire". Sr staff have lots of motivation to make changes and always keep employees aware of the situation.

Cons

Salary is not competitive. Bonus is just a joke. Because the company is reluctant to fire people, there are a lot of people in a position that they should not be. Managers just want to hire more even though they really do not need so much just because they want to get promoted to a higher level with more direct reports. Too many "managers"! Most important - this is a company "kidnapped" by military veterans. If you are a retired military guy, you should come here. You will get a higher pay rate than your peers from day one!
