FFL issued around $200 million for the year of 2020. We have around 60 people who qualified for our Hall of fame which means they issued around $400,000 on their own pen. That wouldn't be possible if our training "sucks" as the reviewer stated. We tell all of our agents the truth not only about our company but also the industry in general. This is a simple business but we do require people to be coachable as well as hard-working to see success.

Pros

Make your own hours, to an extent. Support from management is alright, but difficult when you're in different time zones.

Cons

Commission only, and plan to spend about $1,000.00 per week on leads, none are provided for free. The majority of leads you get (from any source) will not know why you're calling. They will deny asking for the information, hang up on you, or say they were told it was free, because the script provided by the company says "State Regulated" life insurance program. You have to go to people's houses, and that can be uncomfortable. You'll drive an hour to an appointment, and more times than not they either don't answer the door, or don't purchase the insurance. It can be extremely exhausting and discouraging, especially when you're not making any money. Company does provide "discounted" leads, but will not refund you if the number is disconnected. If someone hangs up on you or is rude to you on the phone, they will want you to go to their house and knock on their door. This job is HIGH PRESSURE sales, be prepared. I don't doubt it that some people do really well, the potential is there...just not for people on a limited income that aren't really aggressive. Also, be prepared to work 6-7 days per week. You will need to work A LOT to get ahead.
