We have one of the most dynamic lead programs in our industry. We are also very upfront in regards to our leads and our entire process. Usually when someone has the point of view that there is an issue with our leads or process we find that the individual did not put in enough work or they didn't utilize our massive training library.

Pros

For the most part Family First Life is a positive environment. They have great comps. Even with hardly producing, I made 95%. I can make my own hours. No cold calling. Leads provided from your upline for the first 30 days. They are trying to add in additional services for agents to provide. If you are experienced and don't need much training or guidance, I highly recommend.

Cons

There is a huge disconnect between uplines and what the company is trying to accomplish. Right now they are pushing to hire hire hire. Your training consists of videos (some are great) and what your direct upline provides or has time for. Their strongly suggested schedule doesn't work well for my situation (call Mon and Thurs and run the other days). The company wants you to go out and get exposed to several products, but if your upline isn't ready to coach you in those products you will be discouraged from selling them. I was told specifically not to sell annuities, IUL, and even mortgage protection. Expect to buy leads, but from wherever you like (not necessarily a con). You depend so much on your upline, so interview them and see what they are knowledgeable about and comfortable selling. Make sure they will be available for you because I once sat in a house for a half hour trying to get rates for a customer with my direct upline unavailable and no other contact numbers.

Thank you for your feedback, we do encourage any agent that is not getting the support they need from their upline to contact us at the corporate office so we can help.

Pros

lead quality, COMPENSATION LEVEL, training convenience, human connection, no quota, incredible mentorship, manager who teach are doing the same job as the people they are teaching. All conventions and training is free and we have the chance to see incredible motivational speakers like Dave Anderson FOR FREE. Freedom to work when I want, where I want nationwide. I can hire people in my hierarchy if I want to and not worry about me having to train them (other people know waaaay more than me). Any and pretty much every manager, even they are not in my hierarchy offered their cell phone number for ANYONE to call if we have questions. Response from managers is quite immediate. The president works hard for the companies to pay agents more (Thanks so much Shawn M.) After being in the insurance industry for 5 years and with different companies, I have NOT found yet anything better than what FFL provides it's agents. On top of it, there is NO contract, unlike many other companies that label you as an independent contractor yet they make you fill out a contract, either captive or as a broker. Finds new ways of providing leads to agents, FFL creates, yes, creates new ways to serve its agents so in turn the agents can serve the people. 100% VESTING since day one. FFL managers help way more beyond the scope of the professional life, they extend a helping hand in any area of life. They highly respect family and our time with our family.

Cons

If you are not close to a manager who has an office, unless you provide your own, you don't have an office. I have a hard time focusing at home, but I guess it's not a con since we are running our own independent businesses.
