Employee Relations is, without question, the most concerning part of working at FanDuel. Their approach is rigid, punitive, and disconnected from the reality of how teams operate. Rather than supporting employees or resolving issues, ER often feels focused on punishment over fairness.
There is little room for dialogue, context, or proportionality. Even minor, unintentional mistakes can result in extreme consequences delivered without warning. Decisions feel opaque and predetermined, with no meaningful opportunity to be heard or course-correct.
“Consistency and fairness” is frequently cited, but in practice it comes across as a way to avoid nuance or accountability. The result is a culture of fear that discourages openness, undermines trust, and makes employees feel disposable.
