Pros

Fine entry-level experience. You get a Mac for work. Lots of beer in the fridge. Great work-life balance. Probably the best 401K plan on the planet. (but you will have to work your whole life because you are paid so little. In all transparency, a good product with some good potential but could use some updates and features BADLY.

Cons

As you have likely read in other posts, FareHarbor does not pay anyone enough money. Everyone is poor. Which is fine if you are fresh out of college, but everyone else has a family to pay for. Do not come to this company if money or pay bumps or promotions are important to you. You will never be paid, not even if you sell your SOUL the software gods. Because of this, a lot of people don't work hard, which is fine because (admit it, management) that is part of the culture. There are so many people where I say "Wow, what could they possibly do all day". I am looking at anyone who does not support a core component of the business (Sales, OB, Integrations, Sites, AM, Customer Service). FareHarbor feels more like a social club than a job. That can be good but has mostly been bad. Most of the best people are leaving. I don't blame them. Just one last thing to note. If you come here, know that this is a temp job.

Thank you for leaving a review. Firstly, we want to let you know that we hear you and value all of our employees’ feedback - it absolutely makes an impact and we appreciate you taking the time to write your thoughts. In regards to pay, we can assure you that at the end of 2019 we reviewed compensation and defined our pay structure as a company in-line with the local standards for each role. We see that you have a lot of other constructive feedback, too, and we want to make sure we’re hearing it properly and holistically, so we would encourage you to reach out to a member of our HR team to continue this conversation. Thank you again for leaving your review.

Pros

This was my first job out of college and I have to say I could not have made a better decision. Simply put, I love my job. I roll into work early and leave late every day, not because it's required, but because I want to. First off, our software is by far the best platform that exists in the space. There's no question in my mind that we can help every single tour and activity provider out there grow their business and simplify their life. The office is so full of confidence and energy due in part to the fact that we KNOW we have the best product. Secondly, the vibes here are unreal. I really enjoy working with the people around me which is a big deal for a sales office. It's an incredibly collaborative environment that also provides a very high degree of autonomy if that's what you prefer. If you work hard and produce, you can do it however you'd like and there are always people around to help. The people here really care about each other and therefore will go out of their way to help at anytime, whether that’s a late-night jam session or a weekend demo. I also love working with the clients. We are personally invested in every customer that we talk to. There’s nothing better than getting a call from a client a month or two after signing up to hear them sing FareHarbor’s praise and to thank us for helping their business. This is not a traditional sales job, it’s not even a traditional job. If you want to jump onto a team where you will rock all day every day but have a ton of fun doing it with some really awesome people, then FareHarbor is for you.

Cons

It's a grind sometimes, but again, it's challenge by choice. If you want to work normal hours and do the same thing everyday, then this might not be the place for you. Nobody is going to force you to work more or harder, you have an incredible degree of freedom. Everybody is in it 100%, though, so to match that energy you really do need to commit. Stress can be a little high if you're on a cold streak or having a tough time but that's true of any job.

Pros

FareHarbor is truly a great team. It is a family of people who work hard, and care about each other as well as the clients we serve everyday. We love the outdoors, sports, and getting the job done. We are competitive and driven to work hard for each other. The executives are willing to help whenever support is needed, and they ensure every team member has the tools to succeed. There is a lot of room to advance, but also quickly build relevant skills. It seems like everyday I learn something new, which allows me to always stay interested in the job.

Cons

There really aren't that many cons to working at FareHarbor. I wake up everyday with a smile on face, and can't wait to come into the office.
