Pros

Company loyalty proven during the worst of the recession in maintaining workforce in the field. Benefits are good (Med plan and 401k) Salaries are industry standard.

Cons

It has been said over and over. Center Managers are tasked with too many metrics that are designed to protect the company from their worst managers. This does not positively contribute to the sales motivation the company is trying to obtain from all team members, particularly the majority of center managers who are giving their all for the company. It is commendable to strive for excellence with holding people accountable. The best of companies, such as the top 10 on the Fortune 100 list, seem to obtain better results by developing metrics that motivate people to want to be accountable.

Pros

Potentially could be a great place to work - flexibility in scheduling. OK pay

Cons

Cuts in payroll, not customer friendly atmosphere. Company sets unreasonable goals, resulting in more and more unhappy customers. Last 12 months has really become a pressure cooker for working conditions. More responsibilities and less employees to fill job orders. It seems that corporate office has know idea that the employee morale is plummeting. Customers are very rude to employees they treat FedEx office employees very poorly like the are less than human. Now they are even more frustrated as the express environment continues to be less customer oriented.

Pros

Working in the stores can be a good experience depending upon the team members and management. Tangible results yield high satisfaction in sense of accomplishment as well as in customer satisfaction.

Cons

Many of the center managers are great to work with/for, but many of the good ones are leaving to find other jobs because of the drastic stratification from store to district management (even more noticeable with senior level management).
