Pros

Feld employees are some of the smartest and most committed employees in the world. There is great pride in ownership, and there is a sense of teamwork that permeates throughout all levels.

Cons

There does not seem to be a lot of respect for individuality. Extroverts and "pretty" people tend to do well here and go far quickly. Although each regional office is different, introverted and shy people tend not to do well here, and do not gain the respect of co-workers or management. Working at Feld is a lifestyle job. The work will consume your nights and weekends, you will have to be passionate about it. 9-to-5ers are looked down upon and will not last.

Pros

Feld is a good organization for recent college graduates with only one or two internships under their belt. The company tends to throw new graduates into the deep end and let them sink or swim. It's a fantastic experience for young people with a lot of energy (and with parents that can subsidize their living expenses).

Cons

Feld is NOT the company to work for if salary is important to you. The pay is not good at all. The company also does not offer any real opportunities for professional development and there is high turnover because the smart people take the experience and run to a better paying position. The commission and bonus structures is NOT competitive at all in comparison to other entertainment organizations.

Pros

The ability to travel the world some and meet people and go to interesting places you would not necessarily be able to do o your own dime.

Cons

In the department that I worked (merchandising) the cost cutting would get extreme. We worked with independent contractors that traveled with us on tour. The company was continuously cutting the deal with them that made the good contractors leave the company. Made it hard to staff a tour with quality people. When you were on break during the summer you were still "on" even if you were not receiving a paycheck.
