Pros

Paid training, and the training also paid for you to move.

Cons

Rude, demeaning managers and colleagues. Not much upward climb…what I viewed as “good” pay was no where near industry standards. A kind of job you’d be stuck with for life, and the kind of job average people do work for life. They treat all employees as numbers and expect you to do whatever they say including move across the country in the snap of a finger. They also want you to get used to being at work by 6am, this place is a joke! Can’t believe I started here with a 4 year college degree. I hope someone looks at this and chooses another path that does not waste their time like this place did. By the way I trained in Seattle and with an old man who retired as our training class graduated. I can’t remember his name but he was such an A Hole. It’s hilarious to me now that I’m incredibly successful actually using my marketing degree. What a shameful company I barely even hit the tip of the iceberg with this review. So much more to say.

Pros

Benefits are okay. Flexible work environment.

Cons

I’ve worked at several Fortune 500 companies, if you’re contemplating whether or not to accept an offer w/ Ferguson, don’t do it. Completely unorganized, backwards, and out-dated company. It’s like stepping back to 1999 when you enter their doors. Diversity is a joke, no real maternity leave policy, too many people working that are either unmotivated or medicore, advancement is strongly determined by your manager or who you know. Over the past year associates have left at an alarming rate. Associates work for years, decades even, and aren’t paid adequately.

Pros

Ferguson HQ provides an exceptional work environment characterized by friendly and collaborative employees who prioritize teamwork. The company offers excellent benefits and perks, and most managers demonstrate flexibility. As a family-friendly organization deeply rooted in the community, Ferguson takes pride in its contributions. There's much to appreciate here, fostering a positive atmosphere not commonly found in other companies. "Ferguson presents ample opportunities for advancement, especially for proactive individuals who excel in standing out positively, demonstrate exceptional work ethic, actively contribute to team efforts, and engage assertively in meetings. Those who establish themselves as subject matter experts (SMEs) and stand out with a positive and attractive personality often find themselves on a trajectory for success within the organization."

Cons

While Ferguson is a great place, there are ongoing challenges with certain leaders perpetuating a "good old boy" network and mindset, particularly evident in the promotion and opportunity processes. Instances of poor management and unfair treatment are occasionally left unaddressed for extended periods, resulting in negative repercussions for employees. Unfortunately, individuals may experience prolonged suffering or premature departure from the organization before steps are taken to rectify the toxic environment and hold responsible parties accountable. Additionally, it's worth noting that salary equity is an issue at Ferguson, as evidenced by personal experiences where a male colleague, despite having less experience and tenure with the company and performing fewer responsibilities, was compensated more. This disparity highlights an area of concern that merits attention and rectification.
