Pros

* Learn from the best two-faced political players in the game. * Set up pointless bonding events rather than pay market value. * No need for creativity

Cons

* Working in marketing is a high stress position at Ferguson. You spend more of your time playing politics and blaming others than doing actual work. Most of the working day is in meetings talking about doing work and then writing up documentation that will buried in their cavernous vault of Sharepoint. * At the first sign of financial trouble the Marketing team is gutted by upper management to save on labor. * This team is more about who you know and what you can say you did rather than what you have done. Doesn't matter if your contributions were profitable or even good, just that upper management liked it. Personally my position was replaced by 3 contract workers that cost the company more money than keeping me, but I was the outcast of the group and needed to go.

Pros

Benefits are good, but pay could be better, and at times seem not fair. You are paid just enough to keep you coming back. Education is not as appreciated, as in other companies. Networking is one thing, but brown-nosing is encouraged.

Cons

I worked for this company for 12 years and experienced racism, sexism, blackballing within the company, and if I had not have been working on my second degree (which I accomplished without their help), the whole experience would have been a total wast of career. I endured for my family.

Pros

I made 2-3 life-long friends here. That’s it.

Cons

Alright, where do I start? This place is just flat out AWFUL. For starters, there is no training program. They completely lie about having one. I was sent away to a location AN HOUR away from the location where I was actually going to be working. I was put in the Warehouse first, and nobody knew what to train me on. While there, I was treated differently and worse than other new hires at the location training with me. Then I was moved to the Counter at this different location and I was never trained on my actual job. Finally, after 6 months of “training” I was moved to my actual location in Seattle. But this whole thing just got worse. I was never trained on my job and just thrown into the fire as an Inside Sales Representative. Once that happened, I was answering up to 60 calls a day with little to no breaks. And, if I took a break, I was scolded by my Sales Team Manager who was a total jerk and she constantly micro-managed me. One time, she questioned why I was using the bathroom so much one morning when I WAS SICK! It got to the point where I was constantly scolded and criticized on my calls since she listened to every single call I took. The Management/Higher Ups want you to take on more work while not compensating you properly. They continuously ask more and more of you while not giving you a raise. I was denied a raise and the opportunity to work from home after I hit my one year, while inflation was killing me and I had no room to save money. There is ZERO opportunity for growth at this terrible place and the managers are so rude and tone deaf. Finally, to top it all off, we were seeing emails about how we were having record breaking quarters and had a record breaking year….a week later I was laid off after hearing ZERO chatter of layoffs comjng down the line. I was laid off in front of everyone in the office. This place will kill your soul and you will have a horrible work/life balance. AVOID THIS DUMP AT ALL COSTS! I now work fully remote in tech with the best work/life balance I could ask for.
