Pros

Ferguson has lots of locations across the country. At my particular branch, we have excellent employees that respect and take care of each other. Starting pay and benefits are good.

Cons

While the starting wage is good, I find annual merit raises don't keep up with inflation, and there is no cost of living raises. This has pushed me to look for a better paying job. Ferguson has seen a big increase in turnover due to this. Quality employees with years of experience are leaving for better pay. It's already affecting Ferguson's bottom line. Looks like I'm next to go!

Great Coworkers, but a lot of stress

Pros

Coworkers are fantastic. Company does seem to care about you. Personal development oportunities for moving up within the company are strong. Benefits aren't great, but decent.

Cons

The workload is heavy and stressful. Under staffing is an issue like in most places right now. And there is just too much work and too few people to handle. Over the past year and a half, the new systems that have been put into place to help this only seem to make the workload worse, not better.

Pros

Stability as its a large employer and all they care about is cheap people to place orders

Cons

You will never get above a 3 on your review unless it’s political so just let that go. If you do your job really well they will just give you more and more work. As your pay never really raises, you will make way less than what you are worth very quickly and they don’t care. In the pandemic they cut peoples hours even though profits were thru the roof. This was not something new it was an excuse and people were already low paid.
