Pros
- Pay ranges for Sales roles do look good on the surface. Good base pay, but you should know that you'll more than likely have quarters of $0 commission pay, which makes the full OTE misleading. - It's a fun app to sell and work with and they have a decent narrative to pitch. - There are good people in the sales organization that you will work alongside at an IC level.
Cons
- Middle management, in several cases, allows upper management pressure to bleed through to their subordinates in unhealthy ways. That pressure is not constructive, it's more based in threats, guilt, or insults. - Short-term sales wins are the focus, and there's a lack of patience in building long-term relationships with advertisers. Being asked to promise your clients KPIs that are not attainable for a short-term win is not uncommon here. - Lack of work/life balance. It would not be a rarity to be working or stressed about working in the middle of the night or on your weekends as a norm. It's disappointing, as there is potential from a staff and product standpoint, but the negative and impatient culture that has developed will keep this place from truly flourishing.
