This is about a certain subsidiary of FNF. Very low pay. They are continuing to cut wages and exploit people. I talked to a worker who started at my position years ago - he was paid much higher when he began. In general, the company does seem to be going through a budget struggle. They will expect you to be gung-ho about working for them even during a bleak time of financial uncertainty, or when they plan to lay you off. Management was poor. Boss was sympathetic on the surface but completely capable of treating people poorly or requesting outrageous tasks if higher-ups demanded. This person was also an emotional wreck at times. One time there was a sewage leak inside our building with strong fumes. Instead of sending people home we had to wear masks and continue working at the computer despite concerns from the repairmen (Note: I would make up something more believable if I lied about this). In addition, 80% of the office were minorities and female. I suspect Fidelity likes hiring them because they are more complacent and satisfied with any job even if the company is under-paying. If you have a college education they will distrust you because they know you are more likely to be aware of any unethical business practices. Obviously this is an isolated case. However, I believe it implies the company as a whole is far more interested in squeezing profit and saving money than valuing its workers.

Serious issue! Was tokenized based on my sexuality once I stated my position and was given gifts pertaining to that label. The office was full of only middle-aged women. Heard “gay” and the “f” word used countless times in derogatory ways and aimed specifically at LGBTQ+ customers. Was told my voice doesn’t sound “professional” or “serious” enough and that I need to lower my voice. Even gave me examples of sounding lower and less tone. Never received a bad review from a client, EVER. I’m any job setting. Eventually laid off after being replaced by another straight middle-aged woman (no hate at all, this is just the pattern I saw).
