Pros

Context: I work on editor-related features (frontend) - Our customers really like us. Many use the tool multiple hours a day. Features we ship are immediately noticed and appreciated, as it directly improves their productivity. - Enough low-hanging fruits that having impact isn't even a question. - Plenty of technical challenges. The most requested features are all pretty involved and requires solving problems from first principles. - Coworkers are consistently strong and thoughtful in their work. - Graphs go up and to the right.

Cons

- Being a startup, prioritization is important and does mean that we often go for the good enough solution rather than full solution (often the most satisfying one). - Having lots of important work means fewer chances to have moments of creativity that often come with idle times and a bit of boredom.

Pros

Figma is an incredible group of kind, talented, and passionate humans. At about 100 employees, everyone makes a huge impact on not only the company, but the culture, making building the internal Figma community especially important. We are encouraged to bring our whole selves to work. I love working with people that care more about doing the right thing than about doing the easy thing. We have great benefits and perks—have you heard of a 401(k) contribution at a startup before this?! We have quarterly bonding events with our team, plenty of transparency in our weekly companywide meetings, dogs in the office all the time, maker weeks (a hackathon for all) two times a year, a variety show (where talent is optional), tech talks, spirit days, a quarterly pop-up employee run cafe, and so much more! Plus, customers are fanatical for our product! This certainly isn’t the company for you if you want to coast or work from home every day, but it is the place for you if you enjoy building, learning, and community.

Cons

Your standard growing pains—continually evolving process can be time consuming and seem to be ever-changing. But growing pains mean we are growing!
