Pros

I am surrounded by talented, motivated, and kind individuals here at Filevine.

Cons

Definition of Gaslight: Manipulate (someone) using psychological methods into questioning their own sanity or powers of reasoning. In my time here at Filevine I have seen more gaslighting than anywhere else on earth. Here's one exaple. - Commissions have been wrong every month of 2024 - Every month we approach the finance team and leadership and are made to feel like WE are out of line for simply asking for the $ we are owed. In addition Filevine has: -Lack of systems -Lack of organized, cohesive leadership -Micromanagement on the RISE - I started here with the ability to work Tues & Thurs from home - that later changed to just Tuesdays and is now Mon-Fri 8-5 no exceptions. I've seen coworkers watching their children's sports games on Facebook live because they couldn't leave early to go see them. Even if they arrived to work early to make up for the lost time. Leadership told the team to not use the company Pool table, save during lunch hours. All-in-all, I have learned so much at my time here in Filevine. Legal Tech is an exciting industry and Filevine has created wonderful products to serve the community. That being said, I have turned to Glassdoor, to help those on my team. I want them to have a better future, and since feedback within the company is blatantly ignored, this is the best shot we have of having our voices heard. The Account Management team had 2 record-breaking back to back years - and as a result, the team is now being completely disbanded and everyone is being brought to new teams. I wish my wonderful coworkers the very best of luck, but I know this isn't a place I can be long term. And for the reason(s), I'M OUT!

Pros

The office is bright and modern. Conveniently located near Salt Lake City and near many businesses and restaurants.

Cons

I would highly consider all of the reviews before choosing to work at Filevine. As many other reviewers mentioned, there are glaring issues impacting employee satisfaction and company culture. From the beginning it was clear there was very little in terms of training and a lack of clearly defined policies and procedures in place. While it’s not uncommon for a growing tech company to experience a lot of change the leadership at Filevine are constantly changing pricing, commissions, team structure, and processes to chase profit. Often the decisions made may appear to be beneficial in the short term but are short sighted and negatively impact client relationships and make daily work more difficult for employees. The work schedule is 8-5 in office and management often makes employees feel guilty for taking PTO and often encourages people to go into work even when they’re sick. They clearly view employees as a number and show little care for employees well being and work life balance. The most disappointing aspect is that many employees have been vocal about these issues but little has changed. This has been by far one of the most disappointing employers I have ever worked for in my career so far.

Pros

Pay is good and the Account Executives here are amazing. You can learn so much from the top reps in Enterprise, Mid Market and SMB. They are so willing to help and the team atmosphere is apparent outside of management.

Cons

I can only speak from my experience on the SMB sales team. If you are ready for a micromanaged, toxic, daycare like work experience. Filevine is a great fit for you! 8-5 in seat everyday and if your manager is out, you better believe they have other managers overseeing when you walked in and where you are. Need to leave the office at 4:30. You better get permission. Be sure to make 80 calls a week. No matter what. I was once in a near fatal car wreck and needed to take 1 day off (which I used PTO). My manager text me that day and lets me know that I need to make 25 calls before the day is up. No concern for my health, just wanted to look good in Domo. Started on August 16. Hit quota in August (14 days to do so). Missed in September. October I'm on a PIP and gone before month end. If you have any reservations about coming here. DONT. Have an opinion? No they aren't allowed.
