Pros

There are SO many reasons why working for Filevine is incredible. I'll list as many as I can below - 1. Opportunity for Advancement - As one of the fastest growing tech companies in UT and the U.S., Filevine is constantly hiring new team members and promoting from within. If you work hard and are hungry to make Filevine better in every aspect, the sky is the limit when it comes to promotions. 2. Culture - I look forward to going to work every day. I personally work in the office most days but even remote employees get a lot of "facetime" with colleagues in productive yet enjoyable Zoom meetings. Everyone is incredibly friendly, helpful and welcoming to all new team members. 3. Work/Life Balance - Time off is strongly encouraged at Filevine. As long as you give it 100% while you are at work, it is seriously important that you take breaks as often as you can. A rested and recharged employee is more valuable than someone who is overworked. Filevine knows this. Also, flexibility is great if you need to go to a doctors appointment on short notice, for example. 4. Management - The managers that I have had the pleasure of working with in almost every department are all incredible, seriously. Filevine seeks managers who give 110% every day and have the hunger and vision to help Filevine succeed as a company. This mentality is handed off to other team members through example and mentoring. Filevine wants everyone to succeed in their career and grow with the company. In just over a year, I have learned more at Filevine from my colleagues and managers than I could ever imagine. 5. Benefits - Filevine offers healthcare plans that cover all of the bases (Vision, Dental, Family, etc...). You have the option to choose from a handful of plans to best fit you and your family's needs. Filevine contributes to these plans to ensure your healthcare needs are taken care of without totally breaking the bank. Beyond this, the time off is a great benefit for anyone (refer back to #3). 6. Comfort - Filevine wants you to be comfortable. Many employees work from home in almost every department. Filevine provides the necessary resources for you to succeed from anywhere, whether it be from the comfort of your own home or in the office. 7. Compensation/Pay - Filevine takes care of its employees financially. The best way to grow as a company and expand in the market is to have an "all star" team. That being said, Filevine is quite selective in the hiring process as they aim to hire only the best. Filevine understands that we cannot hire the best without the pay that goes along with that. If you show an outstanding work ethic even within your first year, you will be noticed and your pay will reflect that moving forward (raises). 8. Communication - The vision and goals of Filevine is communicated clearly to all levels of Filevine right from our CEO and VPs. Nobody is left in the dark and it's essential that we are on the same page to reach the goals as a company. The communication between departments is great and is only getting better as we grow (usually this gets worse). Feedback (both positive and negative) from management will also be given right away. There's no "beating around the bush" here. 9. Listening - Filevine listens to ALL team members. Feedback is always encouraged whether it be about the Filevine products themselves or Filevine as an organization. There is no steel wall between "lower-level" employees and upper management/CEO. 10. Diversity - Filevine takes diversity very seriously. Filevine wants the best employee for the job regardless of age, gender, race, religious beliefs, etc... I have seen this first hand as ALL new hires are introduced to the entire company weekly.

Cons

Honestly, I spent a long time thinking about some cons for Filevine. No company is perfect but in my opinion, this is as close as it gets. Here's some cons below - 1. Growing TOO Fast - At the rate we are growing, it is often difficult to fill certain positions in a timely manner, specifically management roles. As I mentioned in my pros list, Filevine wants the best possible team members. The hiring process is not rushed just to fill a spot. Quality takes priority. That being said, there are sometimes a period of time where there may be more team members than management can realistically handle. 2. Startup Company Horrors - While this isn't really a CURRENT con, Filevine had a rocky start. There are some horror stories as you can read on other Glassdoor reviews, but these are since outdated. Filevine has "gotten its crap together", for lack of a better phrase. Filevine has incredibly brilliant and talented department leaders that make the best possible decisions for both the company and the employees. 3. Micromanagement - I cannot speak for ALL Filevine departments, but there is some level of micromanagement for remote employees to ensure they are actually doing their job. I get it. While this may be annoying to some, I understand the need for it. Mind you, this is not on the level of computer monitoring as many other big organizations are tracking your mouse movements and clicks. Filevine isn't on this level.
