Pros

- Culture and Coworkers were great people trying their best under constant pressure - Unlimited time off and occasional (but looked down upon) WFH opportunities - Exposure to a wide range of accounting tasks

Cons

-Toxic management culture: Managers talk about “support,” but workloads and expectations say the opposite. Leadership acts like they don’t trust their own team. Constant check-ins, nitpicking minor details, and questioning every step only slow work down and create more stress. Lack of transparency. -Overworked and Underpaid: Roles keep expanding but headcount never does. They expect you to “step up” without paying you for it. You are essentially covering the work of 2 people during month-end. Compensation does not match workload, raises are bad and promotions are nearly impossible within 3 years. 12 hour days very common during month-end. -Systemic Dysfunction: Every process is very manual, inconsistent, and full of errors. Nothing is streamlined, and training is insufficient, so you waste hours guessing your way through tasks that should be standardized. -Stagnant Role: Career growth is extremely limited, and you’re stuck doing the same monotonous tasks for months. The only path they offer for “career development” is taking on additional work, regardless of your existing workload.

Pros

Some good people. Shoe discounts. Someone at some time knew the right tech stack to migrate toward (however, those individuals have moved on. More on why in the cons section)

Cons

* Lacks strong engineering culture * Top-down feedback * No skip-level meetings * No support from HR or CTO, with no action taken against bad actors (despite feedback from many employees). * Senior management positions w/o engineering experience * No growth opportunities for experienced engineers.
