Pros
The benefits are decent and they aren't afraid to spend money on shop equipment, There is good diagnostic support available as well.
Cons
Firestone Complete Auto Care is a disgrace to the automotive industry, and to business in general. It is hard to know where to begin. First and foremost, their pay structure for technicians is nothing short of laughable. We all know that flat rate can result in fluctuations in pay, but Firestone doesn't pay the correct labor times to begin with. As a result, even on busy days, you might end up working for minimum wage!!! .6 to mount and balance 4 tires, .8 for a brake job (including machining rotors)...these times are laughable and are less than 50% of industry standard times!!! I was hired on at $15/hr only to find I was making minimum wage due to their bogus flag times. The really sad part is most managers will chat you up and down during the interview process, claiming that you'll make great money. As if that wasn't discouraging enough, you can count on 50+ hr work weeks. Even if you work your 50 hrs, they will act like that isn't enough and basically act as though you don't have a life outside of Firestone. You also get to work every Saturday as well. Long hours with nothing to show for it; that's Firestone. Turnover in the office is through the roof. They will axe anyone who isn't raping customers hard enough to make the numbers corporate wants to see. I've seen many dedicated, hard-working employees fired simply because the numbers weren't there. They bring in new faces, but nothing changes. The cycle goes on and on, all in the name of greed. Basically, anyone considering employment at this place should run the other way. That goes for customers too. Firestone Complete Auto Care is a disgrace.
