      Pros

      Benefits were decent, although declining in recent years. Pay was low upon starting, but increased with time and through promotion opportunities.

      Cons

      Many, many employees being laid off through supposed merger. They did give notice of release date, but new company being seen as not providing same type of shop support as previously given.

      Pros

      There are some in the technology management staff who truly care about doing the right thing and are very competent and capable. Their pending merger with First Cash is an opportunity to improve things, but it's doubtful that will happen.

      Cons

      Numerous rounds of layoffs have left the technology group so thin that if it were not for the herculean effort of a few key individuals the entire thing would fall in on itself. Key individuals with important domain knowledge in the technology and PMO areas have been dismissed without any real opportunity to transfer their knowledge.

      Pros

      I have a few friends left, but not many.

      Cons

      Senior management wants to blame everyone but themselves. They did not see the risks they were facing with the drop in the price of gold and everyone (but them) paid the price. Mexico was not their fault. Poor budgeting, not their fault. Continuous layoffs, not their fault. Brand new multi-million dollar conference center - their fault.
