Pros

Schedule Flexibility, Great Benefits, Volunteer Network,

Cons

Management, not really pushing you to grow. Management sometimes petty, and alot of favoritism. There are times, you witness managers talking down about their employees. They give you a book to read, and then expect you to get everything right and don't make corrections. So, you assume you're doing everything correct, until you get pulled aside for opportunities that could of been avoided had someone assisted you when you asked for help. I also feel the culture doesn't really value diversity. Even HR shows favoritism. No point of complaining to them, they do nothing. I've witnessed a employee being sexually harrassed she went to management and HR. They got rid of her, and the guy was still there working laughing.

Pros

Financial stability is a benefit.

Cons

Employee pay and benefits are sub-par for the IT side of the house. Employee satisfaction varies largely based on the group within IT due to management expectations. Managers look at any blip of red or yellow on their portfolios and threaten workers or make cuts accordingly to please senior management. Mid level managers, from my experience, have little training or ability to coach their direct reports or understand their jobs at all.

Pros

The people are very nice, the pay is competitive, good 401k match, and your ideas are valued. There is a cafeteria on site in Raleigh and being headquartered in Raleigh means you get to see many different departments.

Cons

The healthcare benefits are expensive, 401k investment options are limited, and the company is going through a cultural shift. Some pockets of the organization are resistant to change and get in their own way. Also, there are no bonuses so be sure to consider this when negotiating salary.
