      Pros

      Used to be a great place but as more Nat City/PNC people come in the culture is awful.

      Cons

      A huge dissonnect from Executive management to middle management. Middle management does not communicate, they treat their people like dung, the branches are awful, they either have people working who are not trained, or don't care.

      Great working environment and involved leadership. First Merchants truly values their employees and fosters an environment of coaching and feedback which helps with career development and goal attainment. Growing company recently named the number 2 bank in the nation by Forbes! Management recognizes high performance through bonuses, additional contributions to 401k, and off-cycle salary increases.

      Cons

      Dress code can be very strict at some locations.
