Company with no class

Pros

There are some very nice people here. The offices are very nice and transit accessible.

Cons

This is the local office of an international company. They have a lot of good ideas and probably intentions but the reality doesn't match up. They want to be a classy company but don't act that way. Very top-down management style that discourages people from making suggestions or doing anything extra. Hard to care about the company when it doesn't care about the employees.

Pros

The company seems to be able to provide steady work for a large number of people, despite the inefficiency and incompetence of its corporate managers

Cons

Other than providing an apparently steady job, this management company functions poorly. Incompetence throughout the middle management seriously undermines the very good work done by employees on the "front lines" Upper and middle management seem to believe that by creating hollow "feedback mechanisms" and by overloading the actual working staff with "corporate mission" tasks and "daily check-ins", the company will actually provide better services. Payroll, HR, benefits, and middle management are inept. Complete inefficiency and incompetence across the board. The pay for the front lines staff is poor.
