Pros

- Team members can be nice and helpful, depending on your team - Experience is very manager and org dependent - if you have a bad manager in a bad org, you're not going to have a fun time

Cons

- Old-school, antiquated policies/leadership/HR - Notorious for underpaying employees in tech - non-competitive pay - Installs Sapience (spyware) on all work computers to track and micromanage employees - tracks # of mouse clicks, what apps are opened, what keys are pressed, et cetera - Company culture restricts "Exceeds Expectations" in performance reviews in order to lower salary and counteroffers - Self interested CEO does not trust or care for employees - Massive layoffs and turnover rate. Relocate or fired - Overworked (due to layoffs), disgruntled employees makes for abysmal company culture - Can have extremely micro-managing middle managers - Hates remote work or WFH - tracks badge swipes and puts you on "reports" if you do not swipe in. Threatens to be in office or be fired - Employee laptops are extremely dated, slow and old - Terrible place for younger people looking for long-term careers (company underpays and does not see value in young talent)

Pros

Not one is coming to mind

Cons

Consistently thrown under the bus by banks, other Fiserv teams, your own management; cry at my desk every day; no work life balance (working 50-100 weeks has become the norm for my team); living proofs get capped out; no remaining SME for help and guidance; flexibility is a no; extremely underpaid unless you are in the NJ office; rapid leadership turnover has led to internal promotions for people that have no idea what their team does; must beg for other teams to do their jobs; internal help desk lines have been terminated; plunger have real phones - must use teams as phone line which leads to massive amounts of connectivity and dropped calls; current workload has quadrupled with no additional support

Pros

There are no pro's in either staying with or joining Fiserv

Cons

Prior to the First Data merger Fiserv was a revered and respected brand but the Fiserv, in its present form, has no future for any current or prospective employee. Current employees should find the exits as quickly as possible for your own safety and mental health. New employee should avoid this company altogether. Anyone researching this company should also go to www.thelayoff.com for additional information. Do not believe to company propaganda. It may look and sound nice but it’s not truthful. The current executive management cannot see the failure of their “strategy” unless their strategy is to implode the organization and sell off the scrapes to fund their pet projects or to feather their own pockets. Executive management has over promised to the street and when the results of their failure become evident management’s reaction, in one trick pony fashion, is to enact massive irrational and incoherent layoffs across the enterprise. The executive leadership have averted their eyes to the wreckage they have created and live in their bubble. The situation of so precarious that the rebuilding Fiserv to its former glory will take years if not decades to restore. The talent not laid off have left in droves and management has enact hiring freezes exasperating the situation. The resulting impact is an over stressed workload; lack of seasoned staff for training and development; disjointed, disingenuous, or no communication from leadership; missed client deliverables; product failures, stunted product development and roll out; awful product quality; poor to no customer service; terrible client satisfaction; and plummeting employee morale. Though I am a current employee, I have had enough of this insanity, and I am actively looking to leave to preserve my dignity and mental health. If you are considering remaining or joining this company, I advise you to do your own research. This is no environment for anyone to either want to stay in or join.
