Pros

Everyone here is very cool. Really great coworkers and people. Always open to communication and new ideas. There is always work to do and someone needing something for their website. If you run out of stuff to do, there will always be something new to dive into. Working here exposes you to a lot of web development languages/styles. If you're new, you start to figure out what parts you like, don't like about it, and what you want to learn more about. The company is small enough where some of your decisions can make a heavy impact, but large enough that it makes you feel like you're contributing to the growth of the company. They are making great strides to improve leadership and try to bring in new faces to better the company.

Cons

Project managers are overworked and there should be more of them, however, I think the company is making greater strides to improve on this. Clients can oftentimes get needy and in some cases very rude, causing situations that become high pressure and high stress. It can get very difficult to manage the amount of client requests and internal work, causing missed deadlines on both sides.

Pros

The best reason to work at fjorge is the people. We have a lot of fun working through a wide variety of projects, and I have always felt supported and respected by my coworkers. fjorge is also technology agnostic, so there is a ton of opportunity to learn and develop in new technologies.

Cons

There isn't much wiggle room in project schedules or budgets, so projects can end up being high pressure.

Pros

Fjorge has a casual and friendly culture that values learning and improvement. If you want to learn and advance your skills, there are opportunities, it's not only encouraged, it can often be paid for. The company has identified that encouraging employee growth helps the company. You get to work on several projects with different languages, and in different roles, you can take ownership of them and build your resume. Coworkers are supportive, and eager to help. There are group activities, everything from cheesy team building events, to full paid office trips to sports event. There is never any pressure to attend. It's not a forced "we're a fun office" kind of thing. Employees's work is celebrated, and appreciated, and most peoples ideas and suggestions are genuinely considered and heard.

Cons

There is a lot going on, it can be hard to settle into a groove. Each pod is a bit of an island as far as culture and workflow, this means some of the negative reviews may be genuine experiences; they're certainly not everyone's experience. Space is starting to get tight at the current office.
