Pros

Coworkers, every other weekend off

Cons

The management is horrible! No one cares about anyone else, the customers don't matter either. I was at Green Bay East for 3 years, and in that time you could see everyone from employees to customers lose satisfaction with the company. When I started it was a fun, happy environment, towards the end, most noticeably after KKR's purchase of the company, customers slowly quit coming, and the employees started leaving, with no one applying for the open positions because word had gotten out about how bad the store was toward employees. When I finally put in my 2 week notice, I was one of 14 people in one week. You're nothing more but an orange shirt to management, and you better push that credit card!

Pros

Hours are usually fairly flexible if changes are asked weeks in advance

Cons

Low pay with no chance of raises other than yearly .40 cent maximum but is outpaced by increased wages for new employees. management refuses to give any raises even to accommodate this. Stuck outside regardless of weather or customer traffic. poor conditions and low pay lead to incredibly high turnover rates in the yard. Inventory is never correct and items are sold even when inventory shows none available leading to upset customers in the yard blaming forklift operators. Management positions are a revolving door of new employees that do not understand the responsibilities.

Pros

Coworkers share despise for the company and are willing to complain with you.

Cons

The corporate offices need a serious reform. The pay is terrible, the benefits are non-existent, and the ability to move up in the company is impossible. The rules and regulations are seriously outdated. One break for an 8 hour work day and no ability to keep water on the floor with you is past the point of unfair it's unhealthy. The company treats their employees like trash and then wonders why morale is so low.
