Pros

Pay and benefits that’s it, just ride the wave with them get yours and go home do not invest in them, they will not invest in you but say they do..

Cons

Dogmatic management, the say they’re one way but you find another when working for them, no integrity. PMs are unqualified but will push deadlines hard thinking they know development. If you want to make things better they will push back and say it’s working now so why make better then months down the line, oh we need to update.. when you said it months prior. Don’t ask questions, don’t be innovative, do what your told shut up, be a code monkey. They will work you too the bone, PMs will message you on Friday at 3pm to get fixed in when you’ve already done 12 tickets in the week and wonder why you can’t be Superman and burnout 24/7.. horrible company horrible people, don’t be fooled by their fake kindness

Unfortunately, due to COVID's effects on our customers, we made the difficult decision to lay off 9% of our team members in June 2019. However, we have been fortunate to see steady growth and demand from our customers, which has put us in a position to thoughtfully grow our teams since Q3 of 2020. All the while, Fleetio continues to foster an incredible company culture that is fair and transparent. Because we feel it's important to clarify, we received a $1M PPP loan that helped us through the early COVID times of uncertainty and prevented other terminations. After we had weathered COVID and regained our high growth rate, we then raised a Series B round in October 2020.

Pros

I loved my team. Remote work was convenient and led to hiring great talent. It felt like we were working on a product that genuinely helped people do their jobs better.

Cons

I wasn’t going to write a review until I saw that other reviewer implying that the people leaving or being laid off were simply unable to cope with change or had poor work ethics. That is patently false. The leadership brought in by investors shifted Fleetio from a people-first/customers-first company into a profit-at-any-cost, buzzword-tossing, hype machine. Product thinking has devolved from “What can we improve to help our customers?” to “What can we do to win [Large Potential Customer]?” You will not have project stability. You will be doing the workload equivalent of 3-5 roles. You will be told the reason you feel underwater is because you aren’t using AI correctly. You will then be told to stop using AI so much because it’s too expensive. You will be told that the company is in a solid place financially. You will then be told that people had to be laid off as they tout record numbers and a NASCAR sponsorship. People are leaving because their trust in the company’s leadership is broken and they’re worn out with the constant firings, lay offs, and goalpost shifting.
