Pros

You get sick time, that’s about it.

Cons

- I did not like where I was working so I asked for a new a new assignment for 7 months and never got one. (that’s literally what they sell you on at orientation) - No PTO or benefits. - No follow up - HR wasn’t even aware of how long after starting an assignment you could become permanent (not sure if that was just where I was assigned but I find it strange since Flexstaff is part of Northwell)

Pros

Good pay, access to a 401k, wonderful atmosphere and paid training at $15/hr. Probably some of the friendliest people I've ever seen, no matter which location I've gone to. They really do seem to want it to be a welcoming place for patients and workers alike.

Cons

The training is very intensive and very fast, which leaves you feeling like you just got a lot of information beamed into your brain in a short amount of time. Didn't always feel like I retained it long-term, though that depends on the instructor--and if you don't quickly figure it out on the job, you'll probably find yourself with a slower paced assignment...and since there can also be a bit of a time between assignments depending on how long they need you for and who needs work, that can be a bad thing for your bank account. Ex: for my first assignment, I worked for a VERY fast paced office and was replaced after only two days of working by myself on the phones, without even an explanation for what I was doing wrong or how to improve myself. The people there were wonderful, and I understand everyone is busy, but...yeah. That choice seemed a bit strange to me.
