Misdirection and Mismanagement Define a Disasterous Merger

Pros

- Most individuals outside of senior management and sales want to make a positive difference - Lots of unique and interesting challenges allow for fast-paced learning - There is an unlimited PTO policy, and depending on the position working hours can be flexible - Customers are generally nice and collaborative

Cons

- Company was being driven towards a future that is not sustainable and senior leadership attempted to ignore major competitors. - Complete lack of clarity and vision for the future progress of the organization, led to different teams working towards opposite goals, or working the same problem. - Major staff attrition and high turnover led to under skilled employees put in compromised situations. - Company leadership actively attempted to hide or lie to staff about current status or events. - Company had no regard for employee wellness- Constantly cutting benefit programs and attempted to hide behind a yearly survey. Staff had actively spoken out about benefit reductions to deaf ears in senior leadership and HR. - Some sales regions held teams hostage with promises that cannot be delivered and a "just do it" attitude. This led to downstream teams constantly missing goals and deliverables. - Concerns and solutions voiced by staff commonly were not heard or are considered "impossible" without discussion. - Senior leadership was constantly buried in meetings and had no time to focus on bettering the organization. - No clear direction was given to staff members or managers, it was impossible to give an employee any input into their growth within the organization until 2 weeks before it goes into place. - Sometimes- verbal promises of salary increases didn't go into effect on time or were reneged. It was common for salary increases to only be said verbally and never be written down. - Merit increases have greatly decreased or completely stopped within the past 2 years. - Staff salaries are commonly well below the industry average for nearly every position, even in comparable markets. - Salaried staff were commonly overworked and were working 50-70 hours in a week. - Diversity and inclusion was not a important aspect of the company culture.

Pros

Strong portfolio of solutions. Strong engineering team. Good support after the sale.

Cons

Options to sell into the Northeast are limited. Long sales cycle. Base pay and Commissions are not high enough which leads to attrition. High pressure to meet quota each month.
