Pay is lower than every other data center in the area, and management keeps promising raises that never come, despite data center techs being the backbone of the company's business model. Hours are bad, which makes the PTO necessary to maintain a healthy work-life balance. Work is banal, you run out of things to learn fast, most of the work that you do isn't going to be very IT oriented at all, and a lot of it feels very meaningless. Morale is rapidly trending downward, night shift is overstaffed and day shift is understaffed. They hire internally for a lot of their higher pay roles, but listings for those roles have been vanishingly rare during the last year and a half that I've been here. The company will sponsor internal surveys from expensive companies, and then completely ignore those surveys.
