Pros

I value that I'm able to be in a company where I get to retain my book of business and be trained by individuals who have much more experience. The opportunity to grow in this company as both manager and as an individual practitioner is something I always assumed I'd have to choose between. In this company, you get both. Work-life balance is something that you earn. Early-on, it can be tough to work through the system and develop. I like that I can overwork now to not have to work later.

Cons

There are times in this business where new reps are put on a team with a manager who is not as experienced or successful as other managers/VPs in the office. Newer reps shouldn't be penalized by their manager's inexperience. Those meetings, especially early in an advisor's career, should be ran by the highest producers in a order of efficiency. Whether it be PPMM to Plan or NAC per work week. Team leaders having a first right of refusal can create opportunities for the DM/VP but, hurt the advisor who is in the toughest part of their career.

Pros

I really value the focus on leadership development that the company takes. FFA only hires and promotes from within the company and as a result will extensively dedicate resources to training and developing new hires. There are also many paths you can take to pursue your idea of success such as going into executive leadership and/or starting your own independent brand under FFA's resources.

Cons

Sometimes it can feel like most of the training is dedicated towards a proven sales process and it can leave less incentive for other creative methods, but the company is slowly working on increasing exposure towards alternative processes with dedicated classes.

Pros

At FFA they helped me develop into an advisor, leader and business owner/entrepreneur. They help me stay accountable to the goals I set and they help me set goals when I'm navigating new territories. All with the work hard play hard mentality.

Cons

There is no cons right now.
