Pros

Quickly gaining national popularity, so it helps to have your name associated with FSU. Football, if that is your thing.

Cons

HR bases their salary on information from what must be 20 years ago. If you work in Student Services, prepare to be low-paid compared to your colleagues nationwide. Tallahassee is not a "cheap" place to live, but based on the pay you would think otherwise. No one with a Bachelor's degree should have to live on 25,000 a year.

Pros

The working environment is low-stress and it is unusual to deal with unhappy patrons. The supervisors are all helpful when you have questions or need help as well as being generally good people. If you're a student worker, like me, they easily accommodate to your schedule and understand when things come up, like needing to study for a test or the like.

Cons

There is the ability to pick up shifts, but as a student worker there is a cap of about 20 hours per week.
