      Pros

      Fellow colleagues are an integral part. High level of education around constantly. Compensated for a job you don't mind having. Constantly around education and intelligent people, enhances workers' lives more and provides a tolerable and enjoyable place to work.

      Cons

      Mainly, working under grants provides no opportunity for benefits.

      Pros

      Free professional development. Chance to work on various committees. They do do a pretty good job of recognizing the hard work and efforts of their employees with service awards and the like.

      Cons

      Parking is horrible! Also, you can be stretched thin if you don't watch out. I was serving on 5 committees at on time in addition to my regular duties. That meant more time was being spent working on these sub-projects and not my day to day job. My work did suffer for it and I had to eventually let my supervisor know that I could not serve on so many committees.
