Pros

Flexibiltiy (somewhat) Helping children who are ill or have other challenges to be successful

Cons

Every review that says you work nonstop is absolutely true. You must answer the phone every time it rings. If a parent complains they got voicemail you are in trouble. The emphasis is on completions so you will end up pushing kids thorugh who haven't learned anything because you will lose your job if you don't meet your numbers. You spend 80% of your time chasing kids. If they don't call you back, it reflects negatively on you. Student signed up for the wrong course? That's also your fault.

Pros

There is no commute due to working at home.

Cons

-You will work 7 days a week -I could never enjoy my house, as work was always there, and students always texting me, calling me (middle of the night at times), etc. -very hard to take a real vacation, as the work piles up -more and more expectations, like increased student load and expectations of speaking to students weekly, and grading being completed in a timely manner. Very challenging with 200+ students -the bonus structure changed dramatically -I was a top performer and my salary would have been cut by 25-30% without the bonus, while working year round. Why would I do that? -I am so happy to have my weekends back, freedom from work at home and no more DBAs!!!!
