Review:
"I've been working at FLVS for years, and while the work-from-home policy is a significant benefit, several critical issues make it a challenging place to work.
Cons:
Toxic Work Culture: The company suffers from a pervasive bullying culture that creates a hostile work environment. Many employees, including myself, have experienced and witnessed bullying behavior from their managers.
Lack of Support: Despite numerous complaints, management and HR seem to turn a blind eye to bullying incidents. There is a severe lack of support for those affected, making it difficult to address or resolve these issues.
Poor Morale: The constant bullying has led to widespread dissatisfaction among employees. This low morale is evident in the high turnover rates, as many talented individuals leave to escape the toxic atmosphere.
Professional Impact: The negative environment significantly hampers productivity and creativity. It's hard to focus and do your best work when you're constantly dealing with a toxic atmosphere. Additionally, the bullying stifles opportunities for professional growth and advancement.
Mental and Emotional Health: The bullying culture takes a toll on mental and emotional well-being. I've seen many colleagues, and myself included, struggle with stress, anxiety, and burnout as a direct result of the toxic environment.
Isolation Despite Remote Work: While working from home is a great perk, it doesn't fully mitigate the impact of the bullying culture. Bullying can still occur virtually, through emails, messages, and virtual meetings, making it hard to escape the negativity.
Distrust and Poor Communication: There is a significant breakdown of trust between employees and management. This lack of trust, combined with poor communication, hampers collaboration and further contributes to the toxic environment.
While the ability to work from home is a significant advantage, it does not outweigh the severe issues caused by the bullying culture at FLVS. Unless the company takes serious steps to address and resolve these problems, I would not recommend working here.
