Shift leads earn significantly less than servers and are required to do a lot more work Unpredictable schedule Unorganized management Managers come and go as they please and are not usually on time to shifts

For a college student it is a really good summer job, you get pooled tips that can be over 10 bucks an hour on busy days. Nice people.

Cons

Hard work especially when very busy; can be poorly organized and managers are of varying quality and can have a high turnover rate. Breaks are short and food discount for servers is too low.
