My apologies for just seeing this review and responding. Hopefully in my recent visits to your lab we were able to visit, though perhaps you have left the company. Everything I know regarding Glassdoor is that the reviews are real – though based on your commentary I question if this review is fabricated since so much of it is untrue. You have a great LM and Regional who spend a lot of time making the work environment great in Grand Prairie. They really care. I hope you take the time to sit down and talk with them or give me or another member of the HR Team a call. As you move forward in your career, consider the professionalism you display in your conduct to include written communication – it will take you a long way. All the best to you. Bob Cox, SVP, HR

Pros

If you follow the unethical culture that grows at FSNS San Antonio in order to look more productive than yours peers, you'll get better raises and faster job promotions than others. Favoritism is very prominent; getting on your immediate supervisors good side ensures you will never get written up for coming in late, always get approved time-off and always to leave early on Saturdays.

Cons

Technicians purposefully cut corners to increase Turn Around Times and management turns a blind eye. They reward these cheating employees with rewards and praise while simultaneously punishing employees who follow the proper methods for not meeting the expected Turn Around Time. Immediate supervisors are too busy to notice and upper Management is never in the labs to see this happen.

Feedback from our employees is very important. We take all concerns very seriously and investigate each one. I have asked Lab Leadership to look into your comments. Our employees and our customers are at the center of all we do - to include working with the highest standards and ethics. At the same time, I'm not sure asking our managers and supervisors to micro manage is the right answer. We will continue to create a culture where our employees are happy, engaged, valued and appreciated. I hope you will consider contacting me directly since I know you have my contact information. Thank you. Bob Cox, SVP HR.

Pros

Company is trying to provide for us but it is not enough. Recompensation is in the works for some time now and who knows when it will be completed. I doubt the benefits will ever be affordable. Just don't have any kids or a spouse and youll be fine.

Cons

In my honest opinion, I do not believe that this food safety company is a career for most people because our management constantly works 60-80hour work weeks and so do us hourly workers. Main story is that nobody has any kind of life here.

It is disheartening to hear these comments- some of which are untrue or dramatizations – which you know. We work hard to create a great culture for our employees – to include competitive pay and benefits. We are constantly analyzing our total rewards package. As part of our culture initiatives, about a year ago – though our lab managers – we suggested that employees consider posting feedback on Glassdoor. Many companies do this. There were no incentives offered, no one was coerced, no one was written up and we all know feedback is anonymous. Unfortunately, we had some managers and employees who were unable to properly interpret the request and/or felt that anonymous feedback would be a conduit for change. As you know, posting “your business” on social media does not resolve issues – in-person productive discussions do. A number of leaders have visited this facility, conducted meetings, visited with employees individually, etc. – in a spirit of caring and trying to help remedy issues – part of our Open Door Policy. Rather than post on social media, how about giving me or another member of the HR Team a call to talk through your concerns so that we can properly address them? If after this discussion we cannot come to a mutual resolution, I would be happy to help you find another opportunity that is more suited to what you want to do. Thank you. Bob Cox, SVP HR
