Pros

Good at first. Things go down the drain after you get past 3 months. The ceo buys food for us every now and then, but they should add it to our paychecks instead as they are below standards.

Cons

Gotta say i was a bit surprised when HR asked everyone in the company to write a good review here so i figured i would check it out. So ive been going through the good and bad reviews and i have to say most,if not all, of the bad ones are true. I don't know alot about what goes on at the corporate office but they are for sure pathetic for begging us for good reviews. I mean what do you expect, the schedules are changed every 2 weeks, it's a slave environment, and you can barely afford the benefits to name a few cons.

I will be certain to forward your review to the San Antonio Lab Leadership Team so that they are aware of your concerns. Hopefully you have taken the time to share your concerns so that positive changes can be made. We work hard to have activities that build camaraderie and engagement. As always, those activities are completely optional. About a year ago – through our lab managers – we suggested that employees consider posting feedback on Glassdoor. Many companies do this. There were no incentives offered, there are still no incentives being offered, no one is being coerced, no one has been written up and we all know feedback is anonymous. Your “slave environment” comment is inappropriate on multiple levels. Since you are in San Antonio, how about visiting with a member of the HR Team to talk through your concerns so that we can properly address them? Thank you. Bob Cox, SVP HR

I am sorry that you did not find FSNS to be a good fit for you. I wish you the very best on your new job. I hope you took advantage of our Open Door Policy to give feedback as well as the exit interview you were provided. If you would like to talk further, please give me a call. Thanks Bob Cox, SVP, HR

Pros

Semi decent lab experience $50 gift card for your “Christmas bonus” Sometimes food in the breakroom Tuition reimbursement for approved classes. You will be so unhappy, that you will find the motivation to further your education for a better job.

Cons

Highly underpaid for the amount of work and responsibility. High turnover rate so every shift is constantly understaffed. Company only cares about turning a profit at the employee’s expense. Overtime is expected and often mandatory. No work/life balance and VERY high stress. Unless your intention is to devote your life solely to this company, you will likely be very unhappy. Work schedules are not consistent unless you’re a senior technician and even then they are prone to frequently fluctuate. Holidays are NEVER guaranteed. The pay is the same across the board, regardless of education. Although the company does list in their job postings that secondary education is preferred. Personally, that really irritated me because I had a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and was making the same as a high school dropout, while carrying tens of thousands of dollars of student debt. Health insurance is incredibly expensive. Initials and signatures are often forged, and management’s solution is to punish the victim. MANY safety hazards. Dumpster diving for samples in a dumpster filled with broken glass, rotting meat and other sample matrices, and an abundance of blood and other liquids and all kinds of bacteria. Honestly someone should call OSHA because all of the contents in the dumpsters leak into the soil around the building. On Sunday, June 30, 2019, the city police and fire department actually went out to the lab because of the disgusting mess the dumpsters were making. Their “open door policy” is a trap. NEVER TRUST ANYONE. DRAMA, DRAMA, DRAMA. Unprofessionalism across the board. The handbook doesn’t exist in the Amarillo lab. Relationships between members of management and technicians, inappropriate clothing, behavior, etc.

It is disheartening to hear so many concerns from you. Much of what you state is either inaccurate or over dramatizations. We work very hard to create a great culture for our employees, but apparently our business is not right for you. You certainly have a lot to say and I hope you had these discussions with a member of the management team, as part of your exit interview or you will consider contacting me or another member of the HR Team. I will be communicating with the Lab Management Team, the Regional Manager and the VP of Operations. Hopefully you have found an exact match for your skills, qualifications and desires. I’m sorry that you did not find FSNS a great place for you. I certainly wish you the very best in your future endeavors. We work hard to create a work environment where our employees are happy, engaged, challenged, and growing. We give employees various opportunities to voice concerns to include an Open Door Policy. All the best to you. Bob Cox, SVP HR
