Pros

health insurance is offered althiugh horrible but if your single its doable if your making management pay otherwise dont. Dont do the 401k either an ira would be better

Cons

Not even management likes it as you see them quitting left and right. One of them told me about the quality issues that this company hides and was the reason why quitting. I quit due to lack of pay and no raises plus HR stinks when coming to them with issues.

First, let me wish you the very best on your future endeavors. We know that employees have a number of choices when it comes to benefits – our plans, the exchange, spouse insurance plans, parents insurance, etc. We work hard to put benefit plans in place that are competitive within the industry. I would be happy to talk with you further on your past issues - we take every concern seriously and investigate each one. We are a very transparent organization! We continue to create a diverse (all backgrounds and generations) culture where everyone is valued and appreciated. Bob Cox, SVP, HR

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback. We are continuing to evaluate our total compensation program(s) to ensure we are competitive within the industry. We also provide lots of opportunities for growth and development into supervisory roles as well as pay increases. I hope you will take the time to meet with your manager and discuss the next steps on your career journey with FSNS. Feel free to give me or a member of the HR Team a call as well to discuss further. FSNS Review

Pros

1. FSNS invests in new equipment and uses the best consumables. You never have to work with broken or inadequate equipment, or improvise because you do not have what you need. You have the tools you need to perform the job. 2. The company pays for third party calibration for many critical pieces of equipment, which is fantastic. Not having to be the one to calibrate everything is amazing! 3. There is a culture of safety. Safety concerns are addressed and not ignored. 4. Sister labs are helpful and a huge resource if you have questions or need help. 5. The nature of this line of work can be very stressful with client demands and shifting priorities. However, you become really good at multitasking, being efficient, excersing patience, managing stress, prioritizing, and evaluating. Developing these skills serves you in all aspects of life! 6. Helping to ensure a safe food supply. Everyone eats! You can have a far reaching impact!

Cons

This isn't my first time working for a commercial lab. There are cons associated with being in this line of work. 1. The hours: Working in this industry the hours will never be normal business hours (9-5). Let me explain...The business is serving food manufactures. Food manufacturers produce their product typically during normal business hours. The samples will arrive after they are produced. Usually (not always) later in the afternoon/evening. Some products have a really short shelf life and need results prior to shipment. You need to put the situation in context and you will understand why work needs to be done outside normal business hours. 2. Work/Life Balance: This can be tricky. You definitely need to plan more.

Thank you for taking the time to provide this positive, candid and transparent feedback - not just regarding FSNS but regarding our business in general. Your statements are spot on! As the situation allows, please assist others as they enter the business and want to better understand how it all works. Key point heard –Importance of leaders and managers being receptive to feedback and checking in often (I will share with key leaders). We appreciate all you do and are happy you are a part of the team! Thanks again! Bob Cox, SVP, HR.
